Today I’m going to share a little about the Solo Tank by Greenstyle Creations. This is one top that I absolutely love for yard work and working out. The large arm openings sets this tank apart from other racerback tanks out there! The openings can be finished with bands or bindings and there is an option to make a side tie on the hem, too. There are two neckline heights as well.
The first one I sewed up was this one in a grape circular knit. I made this during the Fit Capsule last spring. The fabric from Phee Fabrics is lightweight and perfect for this tank. I used bands on this one. I really like how narrow the back is on this tank. This version is the high neck option.
The next one I made I used Black Powernet from Phee Fabrics. This fabric is usually used for support in bras and waistbands. I also have used it for fun color blocking like in this hoodie. But, I wanted to see how it did as a solid tank!
I used bindings on this version and love how it turned out. The fabric is sheer, so you can see the fun colors of my Power Bra and Shorts showing through. I think a white one would be awesome! This version is using the high neck option.
For this one, I decided to hem the neck and arm holes. I chose the lower neckline, also. Hemming makes the openings larger, so keep that in mind.
I am constantly grabbing for this version as soon as it is clean. I love it for my short morning runs as the temps are still pretty high these days.
Last but not least, I am sharing the final bra I made during BRAugust 2019! This is another Power Sports Bra. I used the solid front hack as I usually do.
I also did a slightly modified strappy back. I crossed the lower straps at the same point and tacked them together. I really like how this version looks. This fabric is from Bow Button Fabrics and was left over from this project.
What do you think of the Solo Tank? I really like how quick the hemmed version is! I also prefer the lower neckline now that I am comparing the photos next to each other! I definitely have more planned. 🙂
As always, let me know if you have any questions or comments! Thanks for stopping by. 🙂
