EM Be Creative

I was chosen to advertise another Ellie & Mac pattern for the Wacky Wednesday $1 sale! This week, the Be Creative is on the list. Hurry, the sale is up early!

I have been eyeing the pattern for awhile, and was excited at the opportunity to sew it up! My first thought was to make something for the little with some Flying Pig Fabrics Dino fabric I have been hoarding, but life has been quite busy lately.

We were invited to a 4 year old’s birthday party last week, and I knew right away I wanted to use this pattern for her gift.

I used some custom Cotton Lycra fabric from Flying Pig Fabrics to create this. The solid is from FPF as well. I rarely get to make small clothes for girls, and was excited to dig into some of my more feminine fabrics.

I chose the cowl option. I have made so many hoodies this winter, and wanted to mix things up. I think deciding on which way to organize fabric took longer than sewing this up!

I am eager to try the pattern again for my son. The color blocking on both the front and back is creative and a great way to mix things up. I have some panels that would fit perfectly on the front bottom portion!

I definitely recommend this pattern to anyone looking for something a little different. There are short and long sleeve options, color blocking, and an optional piping accent! Shop today while the pattern is only $1!

Also, E&M also came out with a new pattern that is available for FREE with another purchase until January 31st. Find that pattern here.

As always, let me know if you have any questions or comments! Thanks for stopping by!
